RE{IMAGINE} JANDON
Every year I design and print the Jandon Center for Community Development at Smith College's annual report. I have had minimal involvement in the writing previously but have offered my copywriting service for this year.
I like doing projects like this because they are a true challenge. My original college degree is in graphic design. I find it deeply satisfying to design something even if the journey itself is arduous!
Choose Your Future
I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with a great artist at Smith College to dream up what we ended up calling a "Choose Your Own Future Planner." Part agency/planner, part beautifully illustrated piece of art.
The planner was printed spiral bound. It was given to high school students in Springfield, MA public schools as a way to teach them about the rigors (and pitfalls) of college and give them a planner to use through their first year.
Sobra Mesa Pin Design
My wife asked me to design a pin as a gift to the attendees of her monthly Latinx book club. We brainstormed a few ideas and landed on this one; a rainbow-colored book with a bite taken out of it. After all, "sobramesa", according to my Spanish-speaking wife, is meant to embody the satisfaction of a great meal.
The pin colors are also meant to embody the color of a concha, a type of Mexican sweet bread that you typically have with coffee, and maybe alongside a book!
I'll write that for you.
Let me know if you want to talk about your print copy writing and design needs.
Thank you! I'll get back to you ASAP.
